We made it to New Zealand! No sign of any earthquakes yet though.
We managed to leave Buller Saturday lunchtime, a bit sad to go and leave everybody :(
But hey, we met up with some friends in Melbourne and went shopping on sunday. It felt like a long day though, we didnt fly into Auckland until midnight but it was nice to be on a plane for less than 4 hours.
So now we've been in the land of Kiwi's for 3 days and got as far as Wellington, which is the very bottom of the north island. We haven't seen NZ in that much detail yet as we're going down and coming back up. So far we have been to Waihi, Lake Taupo and Hutts Valley. thankfully today it has stopped raining and we have enjoyed some much needed sunshine. although its not the hot weather we would love right now, its better than the bitter coldness of Buller.

Our first impression of NZ?...well, its alot like Wales! The roads are windy, its hilly, it rains alot and theres sheep everywhere! However it is a very pretty country! Theres always something to catch your eye! Today we saw our first glimpse of New Zealand snow in the distance....
So tomorrow we are going to take a look at Wellington and head to the South island. This week we want to do some snowboarding as we are still craving some snow if you can believe it! I also want to see Christchurch since the earthquake a few days ago, apparantly theyre still getting aftershocks, but it's not as bad anymore, so im looking forward to that. =D
